EW Program Descriptions
Boxing and Kickboxing
Boxers and kickboxers are considered to be the most well-conditioned athletes in the world. They are also highly skilled combat technicians. Unlike the cardio boxing and kickboxing routines offered in many franshised gyms, training sessions at EW are based on the training regimine of professional fighters. There are no aerobic-style dance movements taught at EW. At EW, we focus on showing you how to condition your body and mind like a professional fighter… whether you’re taking your first class or have trained for years.
The boxing and kickboxing programs at East-West focus on strong technique and high intensity to build muscle tone, reduce fat, gain endurance and develop sound combat skills. Both require internal fortitude, commitment and determination to achieve the desired results.
Asim's Boxing Classes emphasize fundamental skills such as footwork, posture, proper punching technique, and defensive manuvuers.
Andre's Boxing Classes place a heavy emphasis on physical conditioning and endurance.
While both will give you a great upper body workout, kickboxing will particularly work your lower body through drills and bag work. Boxing also has considerable lower-body toning and strength benefits which are supplemented by specific exercises (such as squats and lunges) as part of the conditioning component.
Fight Club
Fight Club is an opportunity for our clients to train side by side next to a professional fighter. Clients will work on their own unique training regimen, receiving guidance from skilled boxers, kick boxers, and martial artists along the way. Members can use Fight Club sessions to focus on the more technical aspects of boxing, kickboxing, or aikido. A Fight Club session can include bag and mitt work, physical conditioning, as well as light sparring with a seasoned pro fighter. Fight Club is designed to be fun, energetic, and challenging. Fight Club is not a group formatted session so it does take a strong commitment to self motivation, which we feel is essential to personal growth and development in any discipline. Fight Club is recommended for anyone who taken a minimum of 10 group classes or is comfortable with basic fighting skills.
Youth Boxing
A competitive boxing program for boys and girls ages 8-16. Competitions are organized through USA Boxing, the national governing body for Olympic style boxing competition. For more info, click here.
Aikido
Aikido is a subtle or internal form of jujutsu. While it is commonly referred to as “the art of peace”, aikido is a very effective form of self defense. Because of its reliance on the laws of physics instead of physical strength, aikido is an ideal art for those who may not be physically confident in certain situations. Holistic in nature, aikido practice has many benefits including strength and cardio conditioning, breath-work, flexibility, weight loss, mental focus and more. Weapons training are also part of the aikido program.

Personal Training
Personal training is a great way to support the work you do in group training. One-on-one time with a trainer is highly recommended to understand the finer points of any discipline. Personal training can focus on any aspect of training including conditioning and breath work and is customized to help you reach your unique goals.
