Asim Hanif
With over 30 years of martial arts experience, Asim Hanif Nichols is the Director of East-West Gym & Fitness as well as its Lead Trainer.
Hanif Sensei holds a 3rd Degree Black Belt ranking in Aikido and is certified by the Capital Aikikai Federation as well as World Aikido Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. He has also earned Black Belt rankings in Karate-do.
As a former 2 time world champion kickboxer, Hanif Sensei was ranked by ISKA, PKF, WPKA, and the USKBA. In 1992 he was chosen to compete at the Olympic pre-festival activities in Barcelona, Spain.
Since 1990, Hanif Sensei has coached numerous professional fighters. His fighters have appeared on HBO, ShowTime, ESPN, and other network outlets.
Hanif Sensei believes in training hard not harsh and feels practice can be both fun as well as focused.
